QuartzSand Specification Overview

The appearance of quartz is clear,white and gray translucent. its Mohs hardness is 7. Quartz sand is an important industrial mineral materials, widely used in glass, foundry, ceramics and refractory materials, metallurgy, construction, chemicals, plastics, rubber, abrasive ,etc.
In nature the quartz is exists in quartzite. For the quartzite's mohs hardness is 7, we should use quartzite processing plant to save labor. In order to obtain the quartz sand , the quartzite production line use quartzite crusher and quartzite grinding mill to complete quartz production.

Quartzite Crushing Process & Crusher Machine

The raw quartzite production process should use quartz crusher. After the excvavtor and belt conveyor mining the quartzite from the quarry plant, the quartzite should be transported into quartzite crusher for the first crushing process. The primay quartzite crusher could be jaw crusher or impact crusher or gyratory cone crusher. Which crusher you chose depend on the quartzite is big or small. After first quartz crushing process, most of quartzite size less than 3 inch and will be transported into vertical roller quartz grinding mill or quartz ball mill for grinding processing. The quartz above 3 inch will be recovery for the second crusher process after vibrating. The processing will be going on until the quartzite ore below 3 inch. During the quartzite ore crushing processing the pulverizing quartz which isn’t used at the moment will be stockpiled into quartz storage bin. After that the we have completed the quartzite crushing process. The next step we will use vertical roller grinding mills or ball mill to complete the quartz ore grinding process.

Quartzite Grinding Processing Plant & Grinder

The pulverizing quartzite in the ball mill or grinding mill, will be grinded into quartz powder about 0.2 mm with the grinder roll, grinding ring and steal balls(iron shots). The grinded quartz powder will be look like quartz slurry. Finally, the quartz slurry will be pumped to the flotation deck with the fine sulfide ore (~-0.5 mm) going to froth flotation cells for recovery of quartz. The recovery quartz will be packed and transported to costumers.
